Tactical knife design

New steel knives

Here are the first three knife blanks I’ve make using the new 1080 high carbon steel I ordered. My impressions so are are that it cuts and grinds easily, so it must already be annealed.  It is very nice working with nice steel that isn’t rusted or painted and doesn’t need to be unbent.  SoContinue reading “New steel knives”

New goods!

My 1080 steel arrived today from Admiral Steel and I found some great brass yesterday.  I will be using the brass for some bolsters on the knives to come.  I should be able to complete about 16 knives out of the new steel and have about enough brass for that too.
