After a year long “sabbatical” I got back into turning wood bowls. But, I wanted to try a different technique. These bowls have been turned green which cuts very easily. I turned them with thin walls and allow them to dry in a paper bag for a few weeks knowing that they will warp. This natural shape is appealing to some. Once dry, I sanded them a second time and applied a food grade mineral oil to them. The two on the left are silver maple and the one on the right is cherry.
